Kevin Olson
Heres a vid of my dad grinding chipper blades for a chipper that will handle a 20inch tree. The vid starts with him pouring babbit spacers that locate the blades in the chipper to the proper depth. This has to be done after every sharpening to compensate for the removal of material from the blade. Then its the grinder. It holds 3 blades at a time and takes material from the angled part of the blade. A quick hit with a file on the flat back side cleans up the edge. He does this for a logger in northern Minnesota that produces chips that are burned in a power plant.
