I am thinking of picking up an anvil, but i cannot find any information on this anvil anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas ehat kind of anvil this is? 

 

It looks like an early (pre-1850) English made forged anvil.  It could have been made by any of several hundred manufacturers of that era.

Yeah, I saw that on CL a few days ago. Maybe a little spendy, but if rebounds well, not too bad a deal. Try to get him down a bit. I was tempted- I might have it's slightly bigger brother, at 122# but missing it's horn.
