Redsweats Posted May 12, 2016 Share Posted May 12, 2016 Best crucible i've come by so far that's cheap and easy to find is old double tank compressors. Strip the tanks, cut in half and you get 4 crucibles. I weld a plate on the bottom as a heat shield, drill 2 oblong holes near the top. Use two metal hooks to insert into the oblong holes for transporting the crucible. I use in a 30Lbs propane tank converted into a kiln, lined with fire brick.
