February 11, 201412 yr So...Admanfrd, do you know what this tool is and what it was used for? BTW, I lived in Sandy Utah from 1975 until 1986. I knew the place well, but that was before the Olympics, preparing for that so completely changed the Salt Lake valley that, when I last visited I found myself to be "lost" !!!, without a guide. That's progress. I am so fortunate to have lived in the Salt Lake valley before it was ruined (imho).

February 11, 201412 yr I was hoping you knew what it was for. It honestly looks like something carpenters would give an apprentice as a hazing thing. It did occur to me that it might somehow work with packing crates to draw metal strapping tight.
February 12, 201412 yr The handle's for winding the motor up. You have to give it a few cranks for it to work right.
