sfDuck
Has anyone made points on the end of copper tubing or snub end scrolls. Can you post a quick how to using swages or fullers?
sfDuck
Don't know if this will work but has anyone tried soldering the point from ammo into copper tubing...............Hummmmm
Bentiron1946
I don't think that a solder seam would look all that good. You might try swaging it down in a series of tapered dies depending on the size of tube you are working with. You will have to anneal between each set of dies. sfDuck
Thanks Iron : Now I have to make more tapered dies. Oh, you can clean off the solder that goes outside the joint so it don't show, just needs to stick, not hold water. GRIN Duck
ladysmith
Duck, I don't know if this will work, but would it be possible to slip an appropriately sized fluxed copper rod into the end of the tubing and forge braze them together? It would then be easy to shape the now solid end into a point. Just a thought, and no idea if it would even work, but it sounds worth trying.
