July 25, 201312 yr A freind and history buff commissioned a D-guard knife. Going with the D-guard theme where they were forged from whatever was available I forged it from a Chevy truck spring. The guard was forged from some of that wrought iron salvaged from the old building he was renovating. Like the old D-guards I wanted it to be somwhat crude, even for me. I couldn't resist taking the old style pic before it goes to it's new home. Don't laugh too hard.
