poppaclutch
Traded a restored post drill for this.
Timothy Miller
You did good that is about 500 times more useful than a post drill.
poppaclutch
Thanks, here's an update. Lathe cleaned up well. Compound cross slide was trashed.... adapted one from an Atlas. Got no drive carriage with the deal but that's ok. Planning on using an antique exercise motor coupled to a 4 speed transmission for power. poppaclutch
Here's how it turned out with improvised drive carriage and tread mill motor. Replaced the stock chuck with a 3 jaw reversible one and also have a 6" 4 jaw skinner that's marked South Bend Lathe Works. Went with a new serpentine belt to avoid the sewing and glue. No complaints so far.
