Gibbo
Gday to all,i have not posted in a while so heres what ive been up to,the first is my first try at forge welding its a concrete slab tensioning cable actually a few of them twisted together then welded.etched in vinegar overnight to bring out the pattern, this was given to my father inlaw he was happy so i was happy.the next is a kitchen knife i made for my first customer yep i sold one its 5160 leaf spring with red gum slabs and stainless pins my thinnest blade yet he loved the shape and comfort in hand and better yet not having to resharpen every day.this one here is my favourite its 5160 with blue jean homemade micarta slabs, stainless guard and pins and a pvc sheath with camo paint, cant wait to do some hunting with it its got 8"blade, overall 14", just under 1/4" at the thickest and shaving sharpand last of all this was for my second customer, its an old file rebirthed into a skinning knife with deer antler handle my first hidden tang also,i found some leather and made a sheath for it, the customer is wrapped with it and says the shape and size is very practical and the deer antler suits it waddya reckonthanks for lookin let me know what ya think.
