dwol
Hello all, New to the forum, but was wondering if anyone had any info on the anvil I just picked up. I believe it is an attwood stourbridge, because I a can almost make out the attwood name on the top of it. But I can't figure out what the second name is under attwood, or the writing at the base. Any info is greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Dave

CWR Williams
Just FYI, I bought a little 65 lbs Attwood a few years back, here in Australia, and it's been a good little workhorse. I've been working on it with a ~3 lbs hammer, and haven't killed it yet ;)
Laertius
I have one as well -- good rebound and suits my needs so far: http://www.iforgeiron.com/topic/29944-tale-of-2-anvils/
philip in china
Stourbridge is a town in England right in the heart of the "Black Country" which was the area where almost all English anvils were made. "Warranted" doesn't mean a thing. It was supposed to mean it was a good product but really had no meaning at all. Use it and see how you get on. It looks fine.
