Hi

Could anyone tell me approx when S&H stopped making anvils.
I have one of their anvils that has 13/1/89 stamped on it and presume it is 1889?

Sorry for the german language, but this is the true story of "Söding und Halbach". :)

My "Söding und Halbach" anvil is from 1920.It is a very high quality anvil.

From this and other sources it seems that they most likely stopped producing anvils WW2.
My anvil came from the German/Swiss border and is also a fine anvil to work with and is of high quality.

So that's where the term "stubbed my toe of that soding anvil came from? :D
