macbruce
Hot dipped galvanized ain't just for under paint imo.........I did 100's of feet of outdoor railing with the sample shown, 3/4'' sq, forged, twisted, fabbed into rail then galved. A gun blue/black spray to darken, steel wool buff then a bronze collar and forget it.
Naz
WOW ! I really like the look of that finish, specially when you think it's been galvanized... I didn't think you could get a nice looking finish as this after it was galvanized... Thanks for posting this macbruce ! Would love to see a pic of the finished railing... Kevin W
Mackbruce, Sweet! I guess what you used reacted with the sink. Was it a birch wood Casey? Those tinted permalac paints from sculpt nouveau look good on top of Galveston also. The picket look nice also. Kevin
macbruce
I use bluing from Brownells, It doesn't rust like BC on steel. Bluing works fine to darken galv/plated bolts as well.
