Possibly get together and hammer together. I am currently setting up my own smithy at my home on the south side of the city. Look forward to reading and posting much more. There will be a big meeting 200 or so smiths from several states near you in July. Check out:Upper Midwest Regional Blacksmithing Conference Check out the websites of the groups that surround you, the Upper Midwest Blacksmith Association, the Illinois Valley Blacksmith Association, the Indiana Blacksmith Association and the Michigan Artist Blacksmith Association..
