February 4, 200719 yr Hi, my name is John and I'm very interested in Blacksmithing but where I come from there isn't much of an interest. I'm from Melbourne, Australia if you know anywhere I can learn please don't hesitate to send me a message. Thx.
February 5, 200719 yr Hi Leb. I don't know about smithing in Melbourne, I just miss the place. Is Leo's Spaghetti Bar still in St. Kilda? -Jim
February 5, 200719 yr Author Hey, I'm not really sure if it's still open haven't been to St.Kilda in ages.
February 5, 200719 yr The IForgeIron Groups Forum hosts the Blacksmiths Association of Western Australia forum. You could post your question there if your that side of the island. IForgeIron is a world wide site and if you post your questions on the site, your answer can come from anywhere in the world. Learning from a blacksmith face-to-face is the best way to learn. Learning by asking questions is next best.
February 5, 200719 yr Author Thank for the heads up but I'm from the opposite side of the island. Thank anyways.
February 5, 200719 yr Several folks from your side of the island are members of IForgeIron. There is a group in Perth or there abouts. Come Aussies, give me a hand here.
February 5, 200719 yr G'day John, There are two blacksmithing groups in Melbourne. (Blacksmithing is alive and well in Australia.) Australian Blacksmiths Association (Vic) meets twice monthly, and the Mont de lancey group, meets weekly? Google will find you both. Graeme.
