September 12, 201114 yr Was taking a forging course with Brian Brazeal and found out about this site....great stuff. Looking forward to sharing and most importantly learning from everyone. I've been a farrier in Montana for 28 years and got into hot shoeing in the mid 90's and after seeing some of Brian Brazeal's work in Anvil Magazine the spark ignited a passion to forge beyond horseshoes. My forge work has been limited to simple projects mainly from lack of knowledge or ignorance. There is no substitute for hands on learning. I'm posting an example of a custom project I did a number of years ago. The horse heads are based off Brian Brazeal's horse heads the design was inspired by a clients cutting board that came from Norway.
September 13, 201114 yr Hey Ren, Welcome to IFI from North Carolina. You're right. Lots to learn here and by the looks of your work you have a lot to share/teach also. Glad to see you have come over to the dark side (blacksmithing that is). So many possibilities. Mark <><
