Spraying off/pressure washing a little giant?

Featured Replies

This may sound like a dumb question to some of you guys but here goes  Say Im going to spray off dust/grease from a little giant is their any areas (other than the motor of course) that I would want to stay away from or be careful with? Clutch area? etc...Thanks for any help ;)

No,....If you have grease zerks on the main bearings pump grease until it forces out any water, otherwise no worries...

If you can put a plug in the cup on top of the main bearings if you don't zerk fittings. My old 25# had wooden clutch block and they may swell a bit. If you have compressed air just blow it off after power washing to get the excess water off. I guess you are either getting ready to rebuild it or repaint it.

Honestly Im not sure about grease zerks. The hammer is a 25# transitional..I havent actually seen it yet.

Ya finally found one? Good on ya. I'm glad for that and hope that you get it home and up and working. :)

So theres really no worry with pressure washing an L.G.? Just cover the oild ports, and the grease zerk?
