Nonameguy Posted July 11, 2011 Share Posted July 11, 2011 Hey guys i am new just got my forge finished and running great and I have a ton 1/2 inch of rebar wondering any ideas of tools i could make i made a fire poker/ tender for forge and a butter knife so far lol just need some ideas. arftist Posted July 11, 2011 Share Posted July 11, 2011 Make more forge tools, then start making tongs. Rebar is fine for practice tongs. Search "spark test". You can then determine the aproximate carbon content of the rebar and perhaps make other tools from it as well. There are lots of articles on making tongs on the web. Most important; have fun.
