hicks Posted July 27, 2010 Share Posted July 27, 2010 hey all, i was wondering if any one knows of any other blacksmith associations other than baba and abana,, possibly australia european ones ,, my situation is this, ive just finished my first year at hereford (dont know if any of you guys over the pond will have heard of it)and while i was going to go back ive just found out the course has altered to a meager 15 hour week over 4 days ,, and made some staff redundant ,, all down to goverment spending:( its a crying shame so im thinking i want more training or a job i dont care where i go but i do care what i do ,, does anyone know of any fulltime courses out there? any help is much appreciated thanks guys Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ratel10mm Posted July 30, 2010 Share Posted July 30, 2010 There's still a formal apprenticeship system in Australia which is pretty good from what I've heard. Of course, you'd have to get over here with a visa that allows you to work, and find a smith in need of an apprentice. Niether are insurmountable obstacles.
