But Coleman type lanterns use a similar pump up piston type set up and I have made my own replacements for them. Oil the leather down so that it will seal and you're in business. Hope this helps. pkrankow Posted January 8, 2010 Share Posted January 8, 2010 Old skool there. If you make your own leather cut it oversized and soak in oil before fitting. Removing extra is no challenge. I have had good success with soaking the old leather if it wasn't damaged, but they tend to develop a tear on one side for some reason.
