August 21, 200916 yr There are a bunch within driving distance, so it depends how far he would be willing to drive. The options include:Mid-Atlantic Smiths AssociationBlacksmith Guild of Central Maryland
August 22, 200916 yr WagonMaster, The Mid-Atlantic Smiths Association is hosting its Annual Metalsmithng Conference in Easton, on Maryland's Eastern Shore the weekend of 12-13 September. This would be an opportunity for your friend to meet blacksmiths from the Delmarva Peninsula. Details should be on the MASA home page which UNICORN FORGE posted above. Also, there is a blacksmith club in the Salisbury MD area. They meet at the Furnace Town Historic Site, on Rt 12 between Salisbury and Snow Hill. They have an annual Hammer-In in March. They are the Furnace Town Blacksmithing Guild.Furnace Town Heritage Museum - Blacksmith Shop - Snow Hill, MD
