May 3, 200917 yr Hey all! Found your group a couple days ago while searching for the solution to a particular problem. Didn't find the solution I needed in time, but I did find a whole bunch of solutions for future problems! Anyhow, I love working the metal, and have been slowly improving my skills and tools as I go. Blacksmithing appears to be yet another skill that will lead to more tools, and offer me a larger range of options for pesky mechanical/metal troubles. And being able to say that I made a knife or ax head by hand seems pretty awesome as well. I've already got a "junked" welding table, a brake drum, a blower, and an endless supply of mesquite wood. Just gotta get the time to put it all together and heat some metal. FWIW, I don't usually join too many forums because they either seem too "unused" or "unfriendly". This forum certainly appears to be neither, so here I am.
