I forged a 2" hitch ball into a hot cut hardy. Anyone have suggestions on how to heat treat something this big/thick and to what color....THX, Keith

    What do you reckon its made of. I would be supprised if it had enough carbon to take a temper. Those sort of things are normally a good quality mild steel.
