irnsrgn Posted June 16, 2006 Share Posted June 16, 2006 If you mean the chuck needs 1/2 threads in the back of the chuck, most hardwares and farm supply stores carry them. Jacobs are the best but cost more. Most post drills have a 1/2 in hole to accept the old 1/2 shank blacksmith drills and an ordinary 1/2 fine threaded bolt with the threads cut off to the proper length and the head end cut off will work well.
