NeatGuy
I have to repair the die cavity for my 50lb LG and was looking for the angle of the die cavity in relation to the face of the ram guide. Hopefuly that makes sense. brad

mkeicher
Brad, I just picked up one of these 50# LGs myself. The angle on mine is aprox. 17deg. from the face of the top slide (further away on the left). I would be happy to take other dimensions or pictures if you need them. I don't have much experience with this machine yet, but it seems to be in pretty good shape. My first project will be to make some dies for it. Good luck with your hammer. peacock
Are you asking about how much the dies are rotated to the left? Also are you needing to repair the dove tail in the ram or the frame? It really doesen't matter a greart deal as long as the angle is the same in the frame and the ram. Whichever one is the best just match the other to it. I have a few of these hammers and would be glad to measure if I am clear what you want. Phil
NeatGuy
Thanks for the info. I guess I was not that clear the die cavity is in the frame and I would like to know how much it roated to the left. The ram is in relatively good shape so I assume that the angle is as it orignialy was. brad
