I am into make axes and I do both methods the wrap and weld and then the slit and drift.Would a slittling chisal work better a sliting hammer. I looking to buy either one or someing, thank you for the help.

I bought my first pair Redwing steel this last winter.I love them.For my big foot I buy one pair of boots.I had pair of wolvirens and they lasted about 10 months the 12 month was sore.For me I pair the extra for Redwing.

My forge shop is near a apple tree, So I have hornets and bees around also spiders and did i say spiders. and stray cats. No snakes yet I do get to smell a skunk about once a week.
