  1. Yuck. I thought I was too late for that. They had already been turned over for delivery by the time I made my post yesterday.
  2. Hey All. I've got good news and bad news. Good: I was able to complete four copper leaves over the weekend, and was very satisfied with how they turned out. Art took some photos, but I do not presently have those. Will have to get them from him. Bad: When I went in to ship the leaves today, I discovered that the general method of shipping runs between 7 and 10 days. At best, they will arrive just before the deadline. At worst, they will arrive the day of or after. The lowest rate I could on expedited shipping would have been slightly over one hundred dollars. It was either the leaves arriving in a for certain timely fashion... or me having money for groceries and lunches this week. Thus, generic shipping was the choice. Crossing my fingers! Hope they can still be used if they do not arrive before the 30th.
  3. Hullo! Hoping to make it out on Saturday. Should be done with work between 2pm and 3pm. I wondered if it would be alright for me to try my hand at making some leaves this weekend. I read the post about the tree memorial, and wanted to see if I could make something to send in. There was a post about making some copper leaves, and I didn't know if they'd ever made a response about that. I have a couple of sheets of thin copper, though... that I could use. Did you see anything on that? Let me know what you think.

  4. Oops! I didn't realize that there were quite as many pages as there actually were. Next time I shall investigate more thoroughly before posting a question. I will sneak out to Finnr's this weekend, and see if I can make a few leaves that do not look thoroughly amateur. If all goes well, they should reach you before the deadline. Hope it will help. Best wishes.
  5. Is this thread still open for contributions? I've joined the site a bit late, but would help if it were still needed.
  6. That would generally be a good idea, if I were not surfing the site from my cube... at work. ;p I will try to sign in to chat later tonight, perhaps.
  7. Hello... Again. I started an account on iForge at least a year ago, and proceded to complete only one post... which was the introduction. I recieved a warm welcome, and was fired up to talk to others with the same interests. However, life got the better of me. Until now, at least. Having gotten through two semesters of school, getting married, and finding steady employment... I'm back! My name is Amy, and I love to smack things with a hammer. Having now gotten that off of my chest, I might just wander over to the tail-gating section. It seems, now that I've gotten back into the swing of things, that I will be needing to locate and purchase a good forge. Back to stay, theYTmassacre
