I used a tube of silicone, the ring is pretty much gone yet still has a nice rebound. I also filled the square tubes with sand.

Ha ha, No I didn’t weld it. I also followed everyone’s advice and didn’t touch the face with anything other than a wire brush.

Hey Everyone, Im learning a lot from this site, thank you. This is my 2nd anvil, bought it recently from an auction. It’s about 200lbs, I’m not sure what the inverted triangle with a large C means? Thats the only markings I can find, thanks for any help.
