I would just build the thing. I think you have enough info. Either way you will learn alot from building the first one and if your anything like me you will take what yiu have learned and build another or two..or more. I've mostly built small blast furnaces for melting and casting bronze and copper and have probably built a dozen or so. Always tend to find frostys brutal truth to be the most reliable and most geared toward safety.
