Got mats to build the stand today I'll post pics soon

Dont no how old this thing is but I dont think its cast iron it might be wrought iron but I dont know for sure but it didnt grind like cast and the fillings off it turned my whole driveway orange. Done alot of grindin out there and never had that happen??

Thinkin bout paintin it not sure yet? Got it at work gettin the face milled down flat. By the time i got all the big grooves out it was realy wavy. Guna use it for knife making so i need it fairly flat. That big face is guna work out nice for my knives:)

Weighed this monster today 400# wow guess i guessed wrong thought it was around 200#?? never tried to pick it up thats what they made tractors for;)

yes I used conduit as well perfect fit and now they won't rust:D

This big anvils not vary trditional and im not sure of a good way to mount it? Base is 13" by 28". Thought of makeing a concrete form maybe and taper the bottom out? Or just a big stump. :confused:

Never saw it done that way vary cool!! Looks like a good skill biulder or I can make another pile of scrap lol.

Heres a cool little forge I found at an antique store. I had to wait for the store to go out of buisiness before I could afford it:p. Needed new legs and belt of couse and I made a new plate for the bottom of the fire box with an added dump gate to keep it clean. This little forge realy moves some air!! Gets lots of attention when my father and I deminstrate smithin. A realy fun forge to use..

This is a new style for me been runnin an electric champion for couple years but not to happy with the performnce just can't get the heat where i want it. Have the original oil bath champion blower for my forge but the small worm gear at the bottom is shot and not havin any luck replacing that gear?? If anyone has an idea of where i can find replacment gears that would be awsom:D

It's a monster Close to 200# gotta clean top a bit more was'nt treated vary nice!! Any guess on the year range on this syle of anvil?

Picked up a new champion blower the other day and plan on fixin it up. what i'd like to know is what is the original paint color there is'nt ant left to go by. Dated 1902.

Can anyone identify this anvil??
