John Tilton

This anvil - or at least it's stand - was removed from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute forge shop. I am looking at buying it to take it home (I am an alumni and current employee). I went to check it today and saw these strange casting marks. There is a 15 cast on the foot under the horn that means 150 ponds. I know that the *43* is supposed to indicate the year - 1943 - that it was cast. But there is that tilted "H" on either side that I cannot find anything about. It is definitely a Vulcan with the raised Vulcan logo on the side of the body. But the "H"s have me stumped.
