  1. Thanks MotoMike i agree with the steam punk look. Irondragon forge and clay you are correct in the narrow legs. While sitting with door closed its very stable door open leans it wants to lean over slightly. Yes I agree extending legs will help too thanks for your thoughts guys and recommendations.

  2. Here's my 1st forge build after buying a welder and feeling creative. The builds off scraps and low buget in mind. Using burners from my other forge on this one as well. Steal was scavenged from trash people were throwing out and stuff I had left over in the metal pile. But was a fun process thus far learning and creating.

  3. Made air slots wider to see if I can adjust a little more from the choke, and filed down my contact tip a bit until i cam order some that are tapered.  Slots still ruff will smooth them out when i get back to the house.

    Ok will do. Thanks guys

  4. Ok Mikey98118 i did make an inside bevel in the inside of the mixing tube, sorry if im not up to par with jargin only started messing with this stuff recently.

Jackdawg thanks for sharing the build and just another Viking love the doors cool touch.

  5. I think I get what your saying bevel out the flare to make a better flare opposed  to the straight shot. There's a machinist near me that i can get to use a lathe and get the inside bevel a bit and i think ill hit him up. I think if i try it won't turn out even. Thanks for the advice.

  6. Thanks mikey i think i know the tips u speak of the ones shaped like a pencil ill look into getting them and you say i should slide to 3/8 of an inch to air slot opening ends. Will do mikey appreciate it. I brought the tubes to work and im working more on bevels with a hand file appreciate all your help. I will continue to improve it thanks.

  7. Here's my gas forge build its made of a 40 dollar air compressor tank. Has two mikey style burners which the kind folks on here have help me improve, and 2 inches of kaowool with rigidzer and refactory. Its inside deminsions are 18 in length 7 inchs wide and tall. I had to order some more refractory and will be finishing shortly.

  8. Ok sounds good IDK,  yes i have .025 as well wanted to try each out i think just getting the slots will increase my flame and will be a good start. Ill get them cut tomorrow and keep u guys updated.  So my flares completely adjustable with 3 tension screws it is 4 inches total but have it only inch over to start. It also fits snug into burner holes on the forge.

    Thanks Again everyone!

  9. Thanks for the burner breakdown just got back from lowes with some .035 hobart mig tips and some cutting disk as to cut out my intake slots. I will bevel them and get them smooth. I did some measuring to clear some things up of what i got to work with

Mixing tube is 10 inches 3 of that being holes already drilled in so slots will be 3 inches to start with. Its 3/4 inch ID.

The flare is 1/4 thick x 4 inch long and  inside diamater of flare portions goes to 1.1/4 inch.

The accelerated nozzle is just over 5 inches but have a set screw to adjust depth in burner tube

  10. Mikey for this part of ur comment

Also, reverse your mixing tube; it's positioned backward to what you need as is

Do you mean I should have choke near the flame side with the slots for air? I'm a bit lost on this suggestion.

Ill get more pics not at the house now looks good idk.
