Yes they are very much different, all of our controls are engineered specifically for our hammers.

Anvil height on power hammer?

Sounds like you have one heck of an anvil there. Seems like 44 inch high is a bit high, I have found that most people in general like the anvil between 30-34 inchs high, it seems to be very universal.
