Another local artist Jacque Boxer Asked me to make a stand for one of her Vases and this is what I came up with. I wanted it to have an organic element to it so as to tie into her pattern on the vase. I tried to achieve the appearance of tendrils for this. I like to use copper to accent my work, I think copper works well with the black of the steel. -
This is my first attempt at working stainless steel. I made these as a birthday present for a young friend of mine. The source material was an old piece of oven racking. -

20 Tonnes of coke. I freaked out when I found you could no longer buy coke in Tasmania, so I bought in 20 tonnes from the main land. It should be enough to keep me going for a while & still sell some to other blacksmiths in Tassie. -
