I am thinking of picking up an anvil, but i cannot find any information on this anvil anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas ehat kind of anvil this is?

Hello all. I am a novice from Media, PA. I am a contractor by trade and do mostly new construction work in the city of Philadelphia. I have been into blacksmithing for about a year now and finally have my small outside setup up and running. There you go, you can even create one using fire bricks and a torch. Whatever you decide just make sure you have proper ventilation. We don't want you passing out at the forge.

I guess it depends on what you are planning on doing. A small gas forge would work great for blades and smaller stuff.
