  1. I am a long time forum lurker but just picked up a new post vise and thought it would be a good time to start sharing! I just acquired this 5" jaw, Indian Chief vise. As you can see, the moving arm has a fairly distinct bend to it which I believe is causing it to bind slightly on the spring as well as make the jaw slightly higher than the other. I need to take the vise apart and clean it anyway so I was thinking I could use a hydraulic press to straighten the arm while it is apart. Does this sound like a reasonable plan? Thanks! -Josh
