    Folks, I looked at the forge last night. The only words on the blower are, "Champion Forge and Blower Co. Lancaster, PA". Here are a couple of photos. I am not home to get closeups of the blower and gears.

    Folks, I need a bit of help. I have a Champion rivet forge (three leg, no numbers that I can see) that needs to have the gears replaced. One has three teeth missing. The other has one. Where can In find replacement parts, new or used? I have been haunting ebay looking unsuccessfully. Thanks for the help.

  3. Smelting of wrought iron nails

    Folks, I have an odd question, is it possible to smelt wrought iron from antique nails and make a billet? I am renovating an 1829's house and have about 10 lbs of 1" square shank nails. How can I reuse the split ones and ones where straightening isn't viable? Thanks
