  1. Thanks for the input. I know commercially Side Blasts are rare in the US. That's what made the thought that someone was actually making them exciting. I'm in Western North Carolina. The "complex" side blast was nicely done. Thanks again.
  2. Was chatting with another Blacksmith over the weekend. I'm interested in a Side Blast Forge. Greystone in the UK was making them. But, it is now out of business. The other fellow said he heard of someone making them commercially in Minnesota. Does anyone have any info on that? I know they can be made. But, I've lost a couple of years remodeling a house. I'm chomping at the bit to get back to forging. Thanks, Ray
  3. JHCC, thanks for the info. Actually, I have been on IFI for about 5 years. I just don't post. Have been strictly coal. Wanted to expand into propane. I knew I didn't know anything about it. After many hours of research, I'm starting to feel like I know even less than when I started. =)
  4. Thank you very much for this information. Nailing down the rigidizer is giving me a fit. There are a great variety of fumed silica products on the various markets. Ensuring the product is hydrophilic proving difficult. I realize that links to commercial sites are a no-no. But, if someone would message me the name of a proven product I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
