  1. hey, im actually just looking for this site i once found that described the steps to forge this really neat looking celtic knife. it had a curved tapering handle that came all the way back to the tang. If anyone could help me find that orriginal site that would be great, i recall it showed the complete process, even the making of the forge itself. any help appreciated.

  2. A blueprint? I have some photos and can explain each step. Do you want me to just post them here or send them to you in an email? oakwood, those are some fun looking knives to make. Neat handles!
  3. Oh yeah one rod, you're right I have heard them called that too. I have one that I call a Celtic Kitchen Knife that I could post as a how-to or a tutorial if yall want me to?
  4. Yeah, Hi!, this is Tim. It's hard to tell who's who with the user names so I'll just say hello ole friend or pleased to me ya! Here's another one out of 5160 that I cut up out of old leaf springs.
  5. Howdy! I've been lurking awhile and thought I'd jump in and say hey. I make alot of these type of knives. I call it a blacksmith knife or I guess the French would say Brut de forge type of knife. I imagine a lot of smiths make versions of these so maybe we could get a thread of photos going here. I made this one out of 5160 steel.
