  1. Mike,
Nice idea and good for the back. You will enjoy Mark. He is great and yes you will have to find more room for all the new tools you will make with Mark. I have taken 3 classes from Mark and I too get as excited about them as I did Christmas when I was younger.
Enjoy the class and tell Mark Hi from Gaylan from Utah. I can't wait for the pictures.

  2. Wow what a find the last henry wright that i looked at last year was really damaged and needed alot of welding. But we did save it and sold it to another blacksmith in southern Utah. But it sure is nice to find one that looks like that with no repairs.
Nice find and it always good to find a good trade once in awhile.

  4. I own a #200 vulcan anvil and I use it at my work (auto and truck mechanic shop) It is quiet so the other workers don't mind when I have to use it. I paid $100.00 dollars for it about 6 years ago. So somettime it is good to not ring so loud. But my demo anivl is a peter wright and it rings to let all know theat i am forging.

  5. Hi just a comment about fuels. I myself use both propane and coke. I like to use the coke forge for most of my forging. Alot depends on how fast I need to make something and how long I am going to forge for the day. So for me coke is first and propane is 2nd. I live here in Utah in a city and I have great neighbors so all is good!!!

I am the President of Bonneville Forge Council here in Utah USA and will spread the work and see what the blacksmiths from Utah can do. Thanks Paul for all your efforts. This is a great coming together from Blacksmiths around the world.

  8. Hi, I just wanted to say that I live here in Northern Utah and I have 2 400 champion blowers one without a stand I paid $75 for and one with a stand I paid $125 for the one on the stand was also in the best shape. As for vices I have paid as little as $5.00 for one with only vice and was frozen shut. Also I have 2vices that are 5 1/4" that I paid $100.00 and the other $90.00 both in really good shape with all the parts. All these were found in Utah.

  9. I have a 337lbs and love it. I have had it for 3years now it has the shelf and upsetting block on the side. I have found many uses for all the angles on the double horn. It was a little noisey at first but I have a wooden block under the anvil and used silicone between that also I used railroad spikes with holes drilled in the bottom end and threaded that and used bolts going through the wood to suck down the railroad spikes.
Anyway it worked really well for me and I love my euroanvil.
