Sorry I meant circumference. The diameter is 25 1/2 " I started over with the correct number. If I am right I need a 3.5" drive pulley to get 240 rpm?
-
After calculating I have come up with these numbers.
10" drive =221 rpm
10.6 =232
10.75 =237.6
11 =243
Please feel free to add to this or correct. What is the ideal speed? Is closer to 240 rpm better? Thanks guys -
The big pulley on the hammer is 79 1/2 " Dia and my motor is 1760 rpm.

John are you referring to the flywheel on the Hammer? I want to be sure. The only thing I have had to go from is a very hard to read chinese manual. My Dad has said several times that drive pulley seemed too big.

James thanks for helping me over the phone the other day. The hammer is almost ready to run. I am trying to figure out how to position the top die. It almost seems it needs wedges on both sides? I will get that picture posted soon of the label all cleaned up.

Thank you for the effort. I will post a picture of the i.d plate all cleaned up.

Thanks Frank,
Do you have any more info on these hammers? -Banjoe -

Thanks Dave. After some more thought and counsel that is what I decided to do. You have confirmed it.

I have an old Anyang hammer I am getting running. Do any of you have a working two piece 88? I need to know the distance between the dies at max open. There is little to no info on the two piece hammers. This hammer I have is an old one brought back from a friend who found it sitting in a factory in China. The sow block is missing. It is one of the first models. Thanks

I have a late model LG I am going to sell in a few weeks. It is a 1946. The hammer is in great shape. It has a new spring and bushings. The dies are drawing dies. This hammer has the original motor. It runs like a swiss watch. I thought I might offer it here first before It goes on craigslist. The price is $2500 I can load it on a trailer from my shop. I will send pictures to any who are interested.

I really like it. It stands out from the common design. Nice job. How much$ to make me one? Seriously!

The saw blades are carbide tipped. Most have a chipped tooth. The scrap price is 30 cents a pound. I pay around 10-15 cents in Michigan.I am in Texas on vacation. The blades weigh 14 pounds each. This is around $4 each. It seems a bit high to me. I wanted to offer $100.00 for all.

I just ran across 50 or so 24" dia saw blades at a local scrap yard. I called fs tool and as usual got no help. Any help will be great.

That is a nice looking little knife.

I have a grizzly and overall am satisfied. The biggest drawback is no speed control. I used Jose Gomez' Bader 3 and really liked the ability to slow it way down. There is no way to slow down a Grizzly. Beside that it tracks nice and has plenty of power. When it can be afforded I will replace it with a Bader3 but that is far off.

I just sold a vulcan #10 -100 lbs in really nice shape for $200.00. It seams a bit beat. I would offer closer to $100-125.00

Are any of you experienced with this steel? I bought an 8'long x 1" dia rod at the scrapyard.

Thanks. I have a set on order from Norm but have been waiting for a month. He does not have any in stock. I have ordered other items from Norm with great success and as soon as the plans get in his possession he will send me a set. I have had no intention on "cheating "anyone. Regardless if someone helped me out or not he still has a paid order from me. I have already placed an order and paid Norm. I just can't wait to start building it to much longer this year. Time is the biggest issue here for me. I wanted to make clear what my intentions and situation is.

Would these wedges be wood or steel? I pictured oak but at this point it is obvious I need all the input I can get. Thanks again for all the help!
