if you connect a spark plug to the end of the exhaust of your car tied to your distributer, you will shoot flames for 30-40 feet out your exhaust. you do the math.

replacing one hydrocarbon with another? have them fill it with water first.

Saftey aside, a cookie sheet wouldn't give you the best results. you would need a 2 part mold with a sprue and a runner to account for shrinkage which you would see alot of in the center of the plate if you just used a cookie sheet.

Just a charcoal brake drum forge from what I think is the brake drum from a bus.

And everyone groaned and said, "ugh not another one." but you gotta start somewhere. Actually the forge isn't quite ready. still working on getting the rest of the pipe fittings and such, but I figured I would stop long enough to say hi. I've been reading literally everything I can get my hands on trying to develop at least half an idea of what I'm doing before I fire this bad boy up.

I know it's not blacksmithing, Per Se. It's not pretty either, and it's definitely not worth hardening. I cut it out of a piece of scrap mild just for the experience. I think I did alright tho considering my tools consist of a bench grinder, belt sander and a drill press.
