    The first shop in Ontario was called Tapley Forge since that was the name of the rural concession road where it was located. Since our move to NB. the name has morphed into The Elgin Anvil since the village of Elgin is fairly close. Tapley

  2. Getting back to it...

    After a couple of years of RV travel we have settled down (for the warm months :-) in New Brunswick, Canada. I kept a set of basic tools when I sold the shop with the thought of turning the blacksmithing into a hobby at some time...that time has come! I look forward to meeting all the old friends from the Anvilfire pub days as well as make new ones in this forum. Now, how do you go about lighting a fire...........????
