  1. I seen one on worthpoint from selling back in 7-9-09 and they called it a caulking or step vise. I don't know what they got for it because I don't belong to it to look back in the archives. I may just end up donating to old mill that has a blacksmith shop that opens to the public most weekends. Thanks so much.

    I have this type of vise up for sale but what I am really trying to fine out is the real name of it or what it is called. I read about the co. that made it and believe it was made around 1852. It stands 35" tall. Stamped --Kinsley I.&M. Co. Canton, Mass. So people say it is called a holcomb foot vise or a step vise. Any help would be nice. Thank you, Mike
