    Blowers

I am making a forge for the first time and all i need is a blower. I wanted to know what it is I am looking for for a good blower. I didn't want to use a hair dryer but if i have to I will.
  6. Think of my backyard like a car graveyard. I can take any piece from any of the cars to use for forging.
  7. I just plan on doing this for a long time. Taking just a piece of metal and turning it into something, it is a skill I wish to have and I want to use it for the rest of my life.
  8. I have A LOT of scrap iron around, I want to make things like decorative weapon pieces and usable pieces, I have 0 experience in the craft but want to do it as a hobby for my lifetime and when the time comes, pass my knowledge on to others(possibly my children).
  9. I am going to get into blacksmithing and I want some suggestions on what kind of projects to start with.
  10. I am looking to get into Blacksmithing as a hobby. I wanted to build a forge like what you would find in medeval times. Is this a good idea or should I just make one Out of a barrel or something.
  11. Thank you all for your help. This makes things much easier on me.
  12. I'm looking to get into blacksmithing and I have a lot of scrap iron around. I was looking for advice from some forging veterans about whether it was possible to use that scrap as metal to use for projects. Any advice you could give me would be taken with open arms.
