    According to my late great-aunt, my great-grandfather had the anvil when he moved to Memphis from rural Mississippi. His father was a doctor who took payment in trade, so it's very possible the anvil was a payment for medical services in the post Civil War era.

    It's small, feels like around 100lb.

    This anvil was used by my great-grandfather. I do not know where or when he got it. There are no markings than I can see. I took some pics but not sure how to post them.
