  1. Here is the other anvil from the auction. Whoever guessed Trenton gets a cookie! Here are some pics, can't tell if it says 200 or 210 has the solid wrought stamp and the diamond around Trenton, any other info is most welcome, dates, weight whatever u may know. Thanks again everyone! Who wants to guess what price nabbed this one?
  2. Side note we got the other anvil too so after we clean it up will post pics and maybe u pros can help identify it. Later boys.
  3. Everyone's feedback was really helpful and is appreciated. Pops did manage to bring that bad boy home...what a beaut. The top of it measures 38" long, 6 1/4" wide and stands 15 3/4" tall. Winning bid was a whopping $2500.00. But pops wanted it most and I'm glad he did. Here are some pics for you boys, we got her all cleaned up and she sure is pretty. Fisher anvil man, thanks for all your help, pops said your a real nice guy and would love to see your museum some day, it was a pleasure for him to meet you. Thanks again everyone.
  4. Thanks for the input I will look into that book :)
  5. Has anyone ever seen an anvil like this? It has a custom stand built for it and the shaft of the base is solid and slides right into a tapered hole in the bottom of the anvil. No markings visible anywhere. Any info is appreciated.
  6. Here is our newest pickup. Very nice shape for its age...which we are hoping you experts will help us with. From what I've read they stopped stamping the circular "solid wrought" in 1850. So my guess is earlier than that. What baffles us as we research is next to the first 1 in the weight there is what looks like a name very small maybe 1/8" letters. It looks to me like it says C. FULLER but several of the letters are very hard to read. Also baffling is everyone talks about a letter stamped under weight, which I can't find. Yet one more thing I can't find anything about is a number 3 stamped on the front foot below the ledge. Anyone have more info for me? Here are some pics...
  7. Thanks for posting your thoughts everyone. Good luck to anyone who goes to the auction! If we win it we will post pictures as well.
  8. I am looking at an auction with a 1200# fisher anvil with eagle on it. Can't find any info about it at all. I've seen the "worlds largest" 1400# but can find nothing about a 1200. Does anyone know anything? It doesn't really look that big to me but we just started collecting so I wouldn't know lol. Any help is appreciated! http://www.auctionzip.com/Full-Image/2121644/fp102.cgi
