  1. Hi kate, that is a fantastic archway sculpture, really love the flowers the colours, the flow of the stems and the butterflies are great. The clients and the school must be thrilled with the finish. Well done, would love to see some more pictures of your work.
  2. Many thanks to everyone for your fantastic comments, it has been a little while since i have been on the site so am really enjoying going through all the great pictures and discussions.
  3. Many thanks for your comments. It was a really nice and simple project to do and the client is thrilled.
  4. This is the latest project made for the clients i did the schoolhouse railings for. The wood is polished and oiled seasoned oak, with forged steel supports beneath to give the impression that the cantilevered wood is floating.
  5. hi colleen, thanks for the comments, the paint i used is a hi build vinyl from manor coating systems. You can paint it direct onto galv and it keys in by itself Hope all is well and all the best for the new year

  7. Very, very nice windswept lamp. There are some lovely lines on the piece. Good work
  8. many thanks for the comments guys, it was a great project that i was involved in. There were about 14 metres of railing in total, it took us about 14 days to make, including the fitting (not including the week they were at the galvanizers). The joggles in the railings were put in using a 100 tonne press. The finials were stamped under a 5cwt Massey power hammer. A great project to do. We still have a handrail, four window guards, and another 25metres of railings to do ( the railings will probably be started in the new year.
  9. Great first start fella, keep on keeping on, practice does make perfect. Would like to see a photo of the gates in situ. Looking forward to more
  10. These are the latest railings i was asked to collaborate on with a blacksmith friend and colleague Matthew Brown of MB Blacksmiths. They were made for a local church in Seaton Carew on the North east coast of England.
  11. Many thanks for your comments. The client was absolutely thrilled with the bowl and amazed at the comments it has received on the internet.
  12. Thanks for the comments,All items are made from stainless steel, with the hearts made in copper, all are rivetted with small copper rivets. The six hearts and the six acorns symbolize the six family members. The acorn that is wilting or broken to one side symbolizes the son that died with the remaining acorns supporting. The client supplied me with the writing around the bowl and wanted a symbolic broken branch. The basic design and rest of the content was left to me. It is a very moving piece and means alot to me but it means the world to the client and his family.
  13. Commemorative Plate made for a client whose Son Died. The writing around the plate is as follows. " whom shall i call each day opening the window that in winters past framed your playful commotion. Whom shall i call without him coming"

  17. This is the second set of gates made for my Client at Seaton Hall.
  18. Very nice piece Ian, is it big enough to sit on? Really loving the flowing tentacles. I can imagine this as a base for a bench or table (been working on designs for these at the moment so my head is full of them!!!!)
