I have a Diamondback two burner knifesmith forge. I set it up at about 10 psi when I weld blades or smith dama and sets it at 6-7 when I smith form of welded blades. I have a tank for about 7-8 hours, depends on what I smith, dama or regular 3 layer laminated blades. - Aslak
  2. You have welded them, twisted and folded? Looks really nice!
  3. Tusen Takk! I live in Vinje in Telemark. About 3 and a half hour drive from Oslo. :)
  4. To grind the surface i first used a regular metal grinder and then did the final grinding on my Tormek T7. I also used my T7 to sharpen it and polishing it on the leatherwheel.
  5. I will post the handle and sheath when its finished. Thanks for kind words. Keep on smithing, not many younger people who do this anymore...
  6. I have freshly started to hammer. I am currently mostly interested in smithing blades of all sizes. I am 17 years old and I live in Norway on a farm. I have set up a temporary smithy but I am thinking of buying a pretty big container to house it. I have only made sticktange blades so far and mostly scandinavian style as that is what I am used to. Been interested in making knifes and so far i have made around 40 knives without the blade, mostly self learned. I have newly signed up at the forum mostly to read but I guess I'll be posting a post now and then. This is my best result so far made out of an old file: - Aslak
