I am replacing the wood foundation on my Say Mak SM 50 with one made of steel. Does anyone have the dimensions of the locations for the mounting holes? I just want to be sure as I only want to set the machine once.
Thanks, Bill -
I have heat treated Damascus with silver wire inlay and etched in ferric chloride without any problems.

Should distilled water be used (in the brine mix)?

The W2 was from flat stock that I traded for. I do also hammer it down from round stock. The flat stock is available, you'll just have to look for it.
The Ivory was furnished by the customer.
The name "Bird and Trout" is basically the size and purpose ot the knife. It's intended for use on upland birds and trout.
Thanks for the compliments. -
