    Coat rack I made for my aunt's wedding gift. This is my biggest project so far and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Main vine part was tapered down from 20mm round mild steel with no striker or power hammer, talk about a workout.

    i need some small scraps of brass for some knife handles and other projects, but I really can't think of where to start looking. All the scrapyards here only resell steel. Should i try asking general engineering workshops or would i just be wasting my time. Where does everyone else get there non-ferrous metals from.

    I'm making my first trip to the steel yard to buy stock. What are the best sizes and shapes to get and how much of each should i get. Looking to be making S-hooks, fire tool sets and leaf key rings amongst other stuff.

    My 236 lb peter wright. Its quite dinged up but thats probably a good thing as i'm just learning. I wouldn't want to damage a new anvil with my novice hammer control. p.s. i hope i did the image thing right.
