  1. My teacher and I made this for a client who wanted it to a. be completely rusted and b. for the bottom rails to be removable to they can just shovel snow right off the deck. we rusted everything by heating it up and applying a mixture of muratic acid and hydrogen peroxide

  2. my second attempt at a RR spike hatchet
  3. This set now resides in my shop as they were the wrong size for the customer and in the defense of the shop monkey namely me the boss/teacher took full blame as he gave me the wrong dimensions the first time
  4. my very first attempt at making a RR spike hatchet I don't remember how but it ended up being a bearded one
  5. My first try at hammer making this is only a little guy and quite soft as I did not weld on any hard surface to the face but he work and feel pretty good
  6. The pot rack is finally done the hooks were tenoned to the branches
  7. This was a pot rack that was interesting to make all the branches were forge welded to create the smaller branches as well as forge welded onto the trunk leaves were made from the ends of branches. The forge weld to the trunk was interesting to get the puckered look that aspen trees have at the base of branches we first drifted a hole not all the way through and then forge welded the branch in the hole
  8. We tenoned the tool together instead of welding just for practice and it works great
  9. these were the bottom tools I made for forge welding branches on a pot rack teacher wanted one too so I made two
  10. This was the top tool I made for forge welding the branches on a pot rack I made a set of two one for me and one for my teacher

    Cork screw

    A cork screw I made for mothers day
  12. this is just showing the tiny tenon I used to attach the cork screw to the handle
  13. just a quick thing I made showing different types of scrolls and a simple collar my teacher had me make this to teach me about different types of scrolls as well as basic collaring
  14. forged this guy out in about an hour
  15. this was the first touch mark I made and is still the one I mainly use. it consists of over laid greek letters iota and omega loosely translated to mean either every last detail or the final detail
